Employers—do not forget to check frequently to make sure that your wages comply with state and federal minimum wage laws.
As of January 1, 2008, Massachusetts State Minimum Wage increased to $8.00 hour. All employers in the Commonwealth are required to pay at least minimum wage unless the Commissioner has specifically approved a lesser wage for that group of employees.
Federal minimum wage also increased on July 24th to $6.55 an hour.
